INTRODUCTION

Bachelors of Naturopathy and Yogic science or BNYS is an integrated subject that comprises the study of both natural medicine and modern medicine treatments.

Naturopathy and Yogic science aims at an all-round healing of the patient, to detoxify the whole body from toxins and other negative elements and strengthen the immune system through the natural way.

They practice on the principle of body’s own healing capabilities towards diseases without the help of allopathic medicines.

BNYS graduates focus on reactions to the treatment in order to ensure that the treatment and also provide personalised treatment in most cases accordingly to the close study of symptoms.

To understand patient’s needs and issues their emotional tendencies or inclinations are utilised for treating illness.

 

IDEAL CHARACTERISTICS FOR A CANDIDATE:

  • Empathetic towards patients and their concerns.
  • Proficient in reasoning and analysing problems.
  • Must have abilities like critical thinking, fair judgement, emotional stability, maturity with intellectually sound mind.
  • Good motor skills to conduct diagnostic therapies on patients.
  • Excellent observational skills in healing patients.

  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be sensitive to patient’s needs and health.

EXAM TYPE: Yearly

ELIGIBILITY:

  • 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry. Maths and Biology as main subjects. ( Sanskrit as a subject can also be considered in some institutes)
  • A total aggregate of 45% marks id required by general category candidates, whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBS categories are required to have minimum 40% total aggregate.
  • If you have not completed your class 12th and still want to apply for the course, you can opt for a 1 year certificate programme from THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE of NATUROPATHY, Pune.
  • Qualification required is Class 10th.
  • It is a yearlong programme called Treatment Attendant Training Course.

DURATION: 4.5 years, Followed by Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship for 1 year.

 

ADMISSION PROCESS:

  • Direct Admission to colleges (on the basis of class 12th marks)
  • Entrance Exams (In some cases) either State level tests / Institute level tests.
