BACHELOR’S IN PHYSIOTHERAPY (B.P.T)

Physiotherapy is a branch of medical/healthcare facilities that provides therapy that uses physical movements such as exercise, massage, counselling and advice for the treatment of injuries and pain due to various factors such as ageing, injury, diseases, disorders and various other environmental conditions.

It is a 4 year 6 months (Internship) course during which the students are taught about different physiotherapeutic skills for e.g. Manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electro-physical modalities etc., which help in curing the disabilities/pain/diseases related to spine, neck, back even stress related issues.

COURSE LEVEL- Undergraduate

 

ADMISSION PROCESS-

  • CET (common entrance test) for admission In Bachelor of Physiotherapy course (BPT). Admission is based on CET scores.
  • Often followed by, two rounds of Group discussion and a Personal Interview for assessment of candidate’s general attitude towards the course.

ELIGIBILITY

  • 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognised University/ board.
  • A minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA at the 10+2 level.
  • 10+2 in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects.
  • Minimum aggregate of 45% is required for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

 

INTERNSHIP-

  • After the completion of the 4Th year exams. The students who have passed the exam are required to do an Internship for 6 months.
  • No student shall be awarded degree certificate without successfully completing the internship.
